Full-time or part-time, term time only + 2 weeks

We are seeking to appoint an Attendance Manager who is committed to ensuring that our students achieve more than they ever thought possible. 

As an Attendance Manager you will work across both Merchants’ Academy Secondary and Primary and lead the attendance team.  You will be responsible for supporting identified individual students and groups in improving their attendance and promoting and rewarding good attendance.  You will also provide a key role in offering advice and support to families on issues of attendance. 

You will:

• Be educated to a high standard with a minimum of GCSE Grade C in maths and English (or equivalent qualifications).
• Drive the Academy's vision and expectations to have a significant impact on students' life chances
• Be bold, optimistic and tenacious in setting and achieving high standards
• Communicate and relate to students to enable you to build effective working relationships.

It will also be essential for the successful candidate to have an understanding of the relevant legislation in relation to attendance and experience of implementing and managing attendance processes and systems in line with best practice.
