REFLECTION SPECIALIST TEACHING ASSISTANT

Full-time (37 hours per week) term time only role to cover maternity leave, to start as soon as possible.

VTG8 Scale Point 22 – 25, starting salary £22,086 per annum, pro rata (actual starting salary £18.891 per annum) + Health Cash Plan and Benefit package (see website for full details of our employee benefit package)

Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused multi-academy trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust. The Trust is responsible for eight academies, 3,500 pupils and 700 staff with a commitment to making a significant and lifelong difference to the lives of young people from some of Bristol’s most disadvantaged communities.  

We are seeking to appoint an Reflection Specialist Teaching Assistant who will assist the Isolation Manager with the day to day running of isolation ensuring that students are effectively supervised and that high standards of behaviour are achieved and students learning is maximised.

You will:

• Be educated to a high standard with a minimum GCSE grade C in English and mathematics (or equivalent qualifications).

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant to teaching and learning

• A current First Aid certificate or willingness to be trained as a First Aider.

• Proven track record of successfully working with disaffected young people

• Experience of assisting students with their learning

• Experience in SEMH teaching in pastoral care
