Year 7

• If your child will be eleven by 31st August 2008 you should apply for a place now.
• Please complete the enclosed application form and return it to the Academy Office based at Symes District Centre, Peterson Avenue, Hartcliffe, Bristol BS13 OBE by Friday 19th October 2007.
• You should also complete a Preference Form for your Local Education Authority and return to them by Friday 19th October 2007.
• The reason for the two application forms is that the Academy is part of the Co-ordinated Secondary Admissions Scheme.
• You should also read the Merchants' Academy Rules of Admission 2007 and the Information for Parents booklet published by your Local Education Authority. This will give you full details of the admissions criteria and procedures for securing a place at the Academy.

Sixth Form

• Students who wish to join First Year Sixth at the Academy should apply by January 31st 2008.
• Please complete an application form and return to the Academy Office based at Symes District Centre, Peterson Avenue, Hartcliffe, Bristol BS13 OBE.
• Applications will be processed throughout the Academic Year 2007/08.
