The Merchants' Academy will open in September 2008.

Induction Days for Academy Students

Years 8/9 - Wednesday 10 September (10.00-12.30noon)

Years 10/11 - Wednesday 10 September (1.00-3.30pm)

Year 7 & 12 - Thursday 11 September (all day) a separate programme will be issued

All students attending induction are reminded that normal Academy wear is required - uniform for Years 7-11 and office wear for Year 12 (Post 16)

Girl in Classroom We will welcome up to 182 students into Year 7 and approximately 60 Sixth Form students. They will be joined by all those students currently attending Withywood Community School. The Academy is an independent state funded secondary school jointly sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol.

Boy giving a talk The Academy will specialise in Enterprise and Skills with special emphasis on developing the qualities needed for success in the twenty first century such as initiative, flexibility and teamwork. We will insist on the highest standards from our students and will deliver a first class education to each individual.
