Food Tech
GCSE Food Tech Exam
The 2 written exams are the 11th June at 13.30pm and 23rd June at 13.30pm. They are both 1 or 1 1/4 hours long depending on whether the student has been entered for higher or foundation tier.
- Students have access to many past papers in the Food Technology room and can ask for them from Mrs Dunsford at any time. We will be practising these in lessons in March and April after coursework has been finished.
- They can borrow a gold revision book called 'GCSE Design & Technology - Food Technology - The Revision Guide (CGP)'. I also have other revision books with different styles which students can ask for.
- Students can work through the KS4 section on SAM Learning.
- If they like ICT revision, they can also do the student activities from the Birchfield software, which focusses in particular on food safety and contamination, but also has information on packaging and labelling.
- There is also a coursework key word revision list to guide revision which I will be issuing.
- The Licence To Cook website http://www.licencetocook.org.uk/ also has many activities on health & nutrition and everyone will have a password when revision in lessons starts.
