Music
Welcome to our Curriculum Area!
The Music Department currently has two full-time teachers and has benefitted from some of the best faculty resources in the Academy. We have a superb iMac suite of 23 computers and a large classroom with three adjoining practise rooms. Our KS3 classes alternate termly between each space and subsequently have a varied and stimulating experience.
We teach a varied scheme of work at KS3 that makes the most of our ICT and acoustic resources. At KS4 we teach GCSE and BTEC courses and also modules from the IB diploma as part of the Academy's sixth form offering. 
We currently have approximately 50 students taking instrumental and singing lessons and we have termly recitals and a yearly full-scale production.
