Specialism
The Academy specialism is in enterprise and skills, and we encourage our students to show ambition, aspiration and initiative in all that they do.
To help deliver this specialism, Merchants' Academy has developed close links with various business partners who work with Academy students, providing mentoring schemes and work experience opportunities.
In our first academic year alone, Burges Salmon helped us to support a successful literacy programme, The Bank of Ireland took students off site to deliver work experience opportunities and MITIE ran a series of careers advice sessions with our Year 7 students.
We believe that by encouraging enterprise in our all students, we will foster a positive 'can-do' attitude and provide them with an education for life.
