Year 6 Information
Merchants' Academy welcomes all new students that come through its doors and is committed to making the transition to secondary school as easy and as comfortable as possible.
A key part of this transition work takes place whilst pupils are still in primary school. We foster strong links with our feeder primaries and organise regular visits, workshops and events to support learning and introduce younger pupils to Academy life.
Year 6 pupils who choose to attend Merchants' Academy will be invited in for two dedicated induction days over the summer where they can meet new friends, be introduced to Academy staff and subject areas, and familiarise themselves with the Academy before starting in September.
