Pastoral Learning Support Officer

Fixed term until 21^st July 2023, full-time (37 hours per week) term time only, to start as soon as possible.

VTG9 Scale Point 26-29 starting salary £26,722 per annum, pro rata (actual starting salary £22,855 per annum) + Health Cash Plan and Benefit package (see website for full details of our employee benefit package).

Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust. The Trust is responsible for eight academies, comprising of Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school, with 3,500 pupils and 700 staff.

We are seeking to recruit a Pastoral Learning Support Officer to join an exciting and committed team who is highly ambitious for students and committed to ensuring that vulnerable children achieve more than they ever thought possible. 

The successful candidate will have:

• Educated to a high standard with equivalent of GCSE Grade C in English and Maths
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Experience of working effectively supporting children in a learning environment
• Ability to communicate and relate to staff, students and parents alike
• Effective use of ICT and technology
• Ability to work constructively as part of the inclusion team
• Knowledge of child protection issues, procedures and protocols
