Primary Choir sing for BBC Children in Need

On Friday 17th November, 24 choir members from Year 5 and Year 6, were lucky to be chosen, to be a part of the Children in Need choir on BBC. The Academy is grateful to their Musical Director Anne Loose for organising the opportunity.

Students spent the afternoon and evening at the Concorde museum in Bristol, singing beneath the wings and nose of a Concorde itself. David Ogden was the choir master at the event and the students joined together with five other schools from across Bristol. Students were involved in live broadcasts to the Points West News programme as well as singing live as a national choir on the Children in Need BBC programme. It was lights, cameras, action!

Julie Hearn, Head of Primary said:

‘The students sang Somewhere over the Rainbow in perfect timing with the hundreds of children across the country. It was a privilege to be part of such a special event and the students made our Academy proud.’
