The new post-16 facilities, aimed at giving our sixth form students a bespoke environment dedicated to them, were given a fresh, modern look on the last week of term. Local highly acclaimed street artist John D'oh visited the academy undercover and out of school hours to add dramatic 'debate starting' political art to the blank canvas walls. The new common room provides a relaxing environment for both lower and upper sixth students to social in together.

Leading off the common room, students can relax in the sixth form garden focussed on student wellbeing. Here students can work, read or relax listening to some music or chatting to friends. The garden leads up to our MA Sports Centre where our students have free access to the gym facilities whilst studying with us, continuing our commitment to wellbeing. Next to our student common room is the sixth form study room. Here students can use the computers, read or complete work independently, expanding their knowledge and continuing their learning.

Whilst we pride ourselves on our strong emphasis of student wellbeing, we also have very clear expectations around self- directed time and structured work periods encouraging our students to strive for academic excellence and self- determined goals.

Two years at MA.16. will transform your opportunities for the future, open doors that you could never have imagined and will help you achieve more than you ever thought possible.

Assistant Vice Principal
