LUNCHTIME DUTY ASSISTANT

Part-time, 7.5 hours per week term time only, to start as soon as possible.  

£8.21 per hour 

Merchants’ Academy is an all age Academy based in Withywood, Bristol with students from Nursery through to Sixth Form.  Merchants’ Academy is part of Venturers Trust which is sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers together with the University of Bristol.  

The Academy provides an exceptional environment for students and staff.  At secondary the stunning buildings and excellent resourcing provides a high quality learning environment.

Merchants’ Academy Secondary are seeking to appoint a small team of Lunchtime Duty Assistants to work alongside Duty Teachers and other associate staff to provide supervision of students from the age of 11 to 18 during the lunchtime break.  The main responsibilities of the post will include:

- Monitoring the behaviour of students in the restaurant and outside space.

- Working to Academy policies to maintain a safe environment for students and other staff.

The successful candidate will:

- Be able to relate well to both children and young adults

- Be able to act calmly and quickly under pressure

- Be energetic, enthusiastic and work well as part of a team

Experience of working within a similar setting is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be provided.
